Visit from Main Street America

A visit from Main Street America’s CEO Patrice Frey has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 5 in the morning.  Main Street Iowa Coordinator Michael Wagler will accompany Patrice to visit six Main Street communities in Iowa over a 2 day period.  Jefferson Matters: Main Street also submitted an application for the Great American Main Street Award which Patrice oversees on the national level.

The visit will focus on entrepreneurship and how our organization along with the City supports entrepreneurs.  The short visit will include stops at The Forge, The Public House, Sensibly Chic, and RVP~1875/History Boy Theater. We will point out other new businesses moving to Jefferson’s downtown.  The City-acquired buildings and renovations of facades will be discussed.  Tower View Team will share about the many public art projects. Lunch at Peony will round out the day.
