Four Mini-Bell Towers on the Square

You’ve seen or heard of painted cows, ice cream cones, Cy’s in other communities.  Mini-bell towers are popping up in downtown Jefferson.  The Tower View Team is the public art arm of Jefferson Matters: Main Street.  Marc McGinn constructed four mini-bell towers with businesses purchasing them within the first 24 hours they were available.  Roger Aegerter of the Tower View Team contacted local artists who may be interested in painting the towers and matched them up with the businesses.  This led to this wonderfully unique art in our downtown!

The 4th Tower appeared recently and has a movie theme.  The McGinn family – Marc & Debra McGinn and Andrew, Amy & Henry McGinn commissioned local artist Tony Sims to paint the tower highlighting one of their favorite activities – the movies!  The tower has 52 faces and covers all genres.  This will eventually be a gift of the McGinns to the Sierra Theatre where patrons will be continue to view it.  This mini-tower is located on the north side of the Square in downtown Jefferson.
