Celebrate Jefferson’s Sesquicentennial

The Greene County Medical Center Foundation will hold its Annual Golf Fundraiser Friday, June 10, 2022, at the Jefferson Community Golf Course during the Bell Tower Festival. A special celebration of Jefferson’s Sesquicentennial, along with the Foundation’s 10th year of the tournament will mark this year’s event. The tournament will be a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. with a 4-person best ball format, ending mid-afternoon to allow golfers to enjoy the festivities at Bell Tower that afternoon and evening.

“We are grateful to host the golf tournament fundraiser again this year, especially in conjunction with the Bell Tower Festival. Our goal is to bring the communities we serve together for a fun event plus host an event Friday morning for those coming to town early for the Bell Tower,” stated Nancy Houska, Foundation Director. “The golf outing has been an impactful event in the past for our Foundation. We look forward to building on that tradition by raising funds to support healthcare services for Greene County residents. With our Bell Tower collaboration, some proceeds from the tournament will be donated to Jefferson Matters to support the Festival next year.”

Additional sponsorship opportunities are available and welcome regardless of playing in the event. Team registration is open. Golfers can register as a 4-some, a pair or individually. The Medical Center will find a 4-person team for you.

Funds raised through the Foundation and the golf tournament are used to support the mission of the Medical Center by continuing to provide quality, compassionate care to every patient and contributing to the well-being of every family in Greene County. Foundation funds support patient-centered services and programs, equipment, capital projects, and healthcare scholarships for local high school seniors pursing a medical career. Medical Center successes the last year include adding three new providers in the Family Medicine Clinic, a urology clinic, and a pain clinic during the last year, allowing more patients to be seen locally, and often same day. Three providers are available for Behavioral Health services, six providers in the Family Medicine Clinic, along with continued podiatry, orthopedics and surgery services.
