CDBG Moving Forward

The Business Improvement Committee hosted a Business After Hours on Monday, Oct. 5 for all those interested in learning more about the Community Development Block Grant. Ed Basch of the Iowa Economic Development Authority presented updated information about this grant and answered questions of the 60 people in attendance.

The Block Grant Committee interviewed 5 architectural firms on Oct. 6 and made a recommendation to the Jefferson City Council. Region XII Council of Governments is providing two experienced grant writers to help with this process. The CDBG is due in early February, 2016.
