In this workshop, you will discover the magic of transforming everyday book pages into artwork that speaks from the soul. Abby & Jolene have collaborated to bring you a 2 part workshop. We will be exploring black out poetry where hidden phrases are uncovered revealing your own poetic voice. Then we will use this to collage onto a canvas or journal cover using other papers and mediums. No prior experience in writing, poetry or art needed. The Economic Vitality Team will be working with the Small Business Development Center and Iowa Central Community College’s Business Development Dept., to provide educational opportunities for 2020. Economic Vitality Team co-chairs met with Kimberly Tiefenthaler of the SBDC in our area to discuss possibilities. Several ideas expressed are Facebook for Business with more advanced options, HR training, Canva, Google Docs, Mailchimp, and Dropbox. A program to work with students called Innovate U to encourage entrepreneurial ideas was discussed for next fall.
