Big Dream Gathering is a big success!

Over 200 people of all ages attended the Big Dream Gathering on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at the Greene Room at Wild Rose Casino.  Young kids, high school students and adults came to listen to Mitch Matthews who gave everyone permission to dream.  And dream they did!  After the inspirational keynote, people had sheets to write a dream, list what is already in place for this dream, and some things still needed for this dream.  These were then posted on the walls in categories such as Service, Community, Spiritual, Education, Travel, Media, Family/Relationships, etc.  Those in attendance also walked around to see the dreams of others and write comments or  possible connections.  Everyone was involved in the exercise.

Thanks to Linc Kroeger of Pillar Technology for making the connection with Mitch Matthews who offered this workshop free to the community at the December event in Jefferson.  Jefferson Matters: Main Street picked up from there to work with Mitch on the particulars with Jamie Daubendiek, Britt & Dan Meythaler and Peg Raney serving as the committee.  Sponsors to help with the costs involved in the location were Rotary Club of Jefferson, Peoples Bank, Jefferson Telecom, Greene County Development Corporation, and Greene County Chamber & Tourism.  Twenty volunteers helped to greet those attending and hand out materials.  Thanks to all!
