Available Buildings Tour recap

The Available Building Tour on April 25 & 27 was successful with interested people touring the 11 buildings/office spaces offered in the downtown.  Three of the buildings are city-owned and are in the process of renovation.  Others are owned by locals or organizations.  A packet of information that included financial institutions, contractors, resources, and any resources available to potential building owners were included in the packets.  Each building had a dedicated page with historic information, building specifics, contact info & price if available.  Many have a conceptual design for facade renovation through Main Street Iowa.  The City of Jefferson has a Phase 2 program for  renovation available.

Packets are still available to those interested and some will be at the Reunion Rendezvous during the Bell Tower Festival.  A link to the packet information on the Jefferson Matters: Main Street website is here: Link to available buildings info

Thanks to the almost 50 greeters who welcomed those touring the buildings.  The committee did a tremendous job organizing this effort.  Those involved with the planning were Jamie Daubendiek, Ken Paxton, Brandon Hommer, Amanda Bills, Sandi Drewry, Kathy Milligan, Jeanne Myers, Jacque Andrew, Nick Sorensen, Lisa Kuehl, Sarah Gomez, and Peg Raney.
