A new event at the Bell Tower Festival is called Reunion Rendezvous #itsabigDeal. Amy Milligan and her committee have planned this event following the Bell Tower Festival parade. Beginning at 12:30 on the north side of the courthouse, the committee will have tables and chairs available along with some live music. They encourage people to bring their lawn chairs and blankets as well to enjoy the shade. Many vendors will be located along Wilson Street to purchase lunch. The Bell Tower Brew Station will be open and located on the corner of Lincoln Way and Chestnut to get a wrist-band and purchase tickets for alcoholic beverages. Beer and wine will be available at the Brew Station. Deal’s Hard Cider will be available near the Reunion Rendezvous event on State Street.
This event is open to the many class reunions, their families and friends. The purpose is to have a place to meet after the parade to visit and reminisce about times in Jefferson and Greene County. Jefferson Matters: Main Street will have swag bags of tourism info and information on the available buildings in the downtown. Family Feud committee members will also ask for people to answer the survey questions for next year’s event. These questions will be about Iowa.
Jefferson Matters: Main Street is hoping this event will become a Bell Tower Festival tradition! Committee members along with Amy Milligan include Shannon Black, Bonnie Silbaugh, Tracy Deal, Angie Gingery, Ann Ostendorf, Lisa Turner, Ian Wilkinson, Philip & Bridgette Heisterkamp and Peg Raney.
