Opportunity to Support Alternative Education Students & Conference

The Iowa Association of Alternative Education is hosting a statewide conference in Des Moines for alternative educators from across the state. The conference provides inspiration and instruction to Iowa alternative educators who daily address challenging issues facing at-risk students. We would appreciate your support of alternative education students through a contribution to this conference. Due to challenging and sometimes heart-breaking circumstances, some students find it difficult to stay in school. Alternative education provides these students with a nurturing and enriching environment that encourages them to reach their hidden potentials and helps them see productive futures after high school. Helping at-risk students to be successful helps everyone. High school dropouts increase the welfare burden and make up half the incarcerated population. Educating all students, especially the disadvantaged, helps create a more productive society. We simply can’t afford to let any child drop out of high school. Please consider supporting this conference, so alternative educators can continue to provide best practices that lower the drop-out rate. The conference will kick off with keynote speaker Trevor Ragan, Founder of Training Ugly and the Learning Lab. In addition, Dr. Jared Smith, an Iowa Superintendent and author of Learning Curve will give us the motivation to help students. The two-day conference will offer numerous breakout sessions regarding alternative education, drop-out prevention, professional
development, program support, and networking for Iowa teachers. We expect that over 200 Iowa and Illinois teachers will be attending the conference. Gift bags will be given to each of the attendees. We are interested in showcasing the Des Moines area by providing an array of social activities during the evening on March 31, 2022. We are also planning on door prizes for participants. If you would like to contribute to any of these activities to showcase your business, it would be greatly appreciated. Your donation will help support the mission of alternative education in Iowa.
Please indicate what you would like to donate at this time and contact Heather Moody to determine
