Residents are invited to participate in collaboration of the the Mahanay Memories and Moments Poem led by Jefferson alumni and artist David Williamson on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 2 p.m. at the Greene County Historical Museum. Square boxes have been placed around the community all summer with people encouraged to write their memories and moments of the tower onto the form. These boxes will be opened on Sunday with David working with those attending to begin weaving together a special poem for the 50th Anniversary of the Mahanay Bell Tower. David will read this completed poem at the Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, Oct. 16.
