Jefferson’s Forge Open House planned for Sept. 7

GO BACK

Plans are in the works to celebrate the opening of Jefferson’s Forge location at 204 E. State in Jefferson on Saturday, Sept 7.  Rehabilitation of the two story building has begun in earnest in March.  Sketches of the interior plans for the building are located in Jefferson’s City Hall.  Chris Deal is overseeing this renovation as owner of the building.

A committee is working with Pillar Technology’s Linc Kroeger to plan the day of Sept. 7.  A time for public open house to view the facility will be hosted by Pillar Technology.  A public BBQ hosted by the community on the courthouse square is in the works followed by a presentation on the north side of the courthouse.   The event will include speeches by Governor Kim Reynolds, Rep. Ro Khanna from California, local Matthew Menz of Menlo Park, CA and others involved in the Rural Tech Revolution bringing tech jobs to rural Iowa.  The public will be invited to attend.
