Ten people and places from Greene County will be telling their stories near the historical plaques honoring them in downtown Jefferson on Sunday, Sept. 20. Everyone is invited to meet at the Greene County Historical Museum at 2 p.m. and guides will lead you to listen to these prominent people. Hear Albert Head, George Gallup, Eva Leonard and Dr. George Grimmell along with Dora and Floyd Mahanay as they make a special appearance. Following the historical walk, refreshments will be served at the Historical Museum. A free will offering will be taken for another historical plaque. This is a project of Main Street and the Historical Society.
