Event for Class Reunions at Bell Tower Festival

The Bell Tower Festival will be held on June 12 – 13, 2020 in Jefferson, and this is a great time for class reunions to meet.  Ann Ostendorf has been the volunteer class reunion contact for years and invites those classes planning reunions to contact her.  Please give Ann a class contact name, email address and phone along with any plans that have been made.  Contact Ann at 515-370-1397 or ostee@netins.net

A tradition for many classes has been to have a float in the parade on Saturday morning.  A new event in 2019 called Reunion Rendezvous #ItsABigDeal on Saturday afternoon after the parade was very successful.  Jefferson Matters: Main Street hosted this event and will again this year on the north side of the courthouse lawn with live music, tables under the shade and featuring our local Deal’s Hard Cider.  Amy Milligan and Angie Gingery are co-chairing this event.

With many food vendors and downtown restaurants available, people of all ages enjoyed getting something to eat and drink on the square while visiting with classmates, friends and families.  Other alcoholic drinks will also be available for sale on the square after the parade and through the evening.

Many classes traditionally have a gathering during the supper time and return to the downtown for evening entertainment. Live music is being planned for the Plaza State area with no cover charge for the open-concept festival.

The Reunion Rendezvous committee offers a Facebook page available to anyone and will update as festival plans are finalized – Bell Tower Festival Class Reunions.
