Cash Mob a Big Success!

On Saturday, Feb. 13, over 30 people gathered to participate in the first Cash Mob in Jefferson.  The Promotion Committee got the word out to gather at 10:30 a.m. as “economic activists” drew out a name of a retail business.  Each vowed to spend at least $20 each to jump start the day for a local business.  Ben Franklin/Tech Zone got mobbed and reported over $700 in sales in that hour.  The group moved to Uptown Café where they enjoyed lunch together.  Nancy Teusch was the winner of a gift certificate to Sierra Theatre in downtown Jeffferson.  The committee deemed this promotion a huge success and decided another cash mob will happen this spring.
