Greene County Medical Center Family Medicine Clinic Welcomes New Provider

Greene County Medical Center welcomes Mary Pedersen, ARNP Family Medicine to join in practice alongside the current Family Medicine Providers. Mary will begin providing services at Greene County Family Medicine Clinic in early November. She will be providing care focusing on family medicine, pediatrics, adolescent medicine, adolescent wellness, physicals and immunizations, and much more. Mary Pedersen, ARNP, is a familiar face to Jefferson and Greene County Medical Center. Working at the Medical Center in 2011 as a Registered Nurse and in the Medical-Surgical Unit, she knows how to uphold the values of our mission, Always Here, Always Caring. Mary also worked at Greene County School District as the School Nurse for the last eight years. Mary attended Central College in Pella, Iowa, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science-Health Promotion. She then went on to get her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. After graduation she continued working as a Registered Nurse in pediatrics at MercyOne Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. In 2021 she obtained a Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner from Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska. “Adding another provider to the Greene County Medical Center Family Medicine Clinic is our way of continuing to invest in our community and provide the best quality care. Mary’s experience as a school nurse in Greene County will serve a great benefit to our patients,” states Chief Medical Officer Dr. Laurie Connolly. “We are excited for Mary to begin providing care for pediatric patients, as well as all patients.
