New Executive Director is hired by Jefferson Matters Main Street and Jefferson Area Chamber of Commerce

The merged organizations of Jefferson Matters: Main Street and Jefferson Area Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce the hiring of a new Executive Director, Reegan Hanigan, effective July 6th.

Jamie Daubendiek, President of Jefferson Matters: Main Street, summed up the sentiments of the two boards:  “We were very impressed with Reegan’s background experiences and local ties to Greene County.  Our recent retired director, Peg Raney, has done a great job getting passionate people involved in our program and we look forward to continuing that success through Reegan’s leadership.  Reegan has a different skill set and will play an instrumental part as the two organizations come together to become stronger for the future success of our community.  We are excited to have Reegan as our new Executive Director.”

Both organizations have been in the process of merging and seeking a new director for several months. Hanigan’s experience extends past a double major and minor from Iowa State University. She graduated as Student Marshal from the Iowa State University College of Business and obtained Dean’s List honors.

Hanigan is a current owner of two businesses: The Hanigan Company LLC and Hanigan Land & Cattle. She has vast experience in finance, insurance, marketing, and management, working for companies like Fruit of the Loom and Knapp Tedesco Insurance.

Hanigan is originally from Greene County where she strives to fulfill her career dreams and make a difference. She is highly motivated to become the new Executive Director and to continue her professional career and contribute her unique skills to the Jefferson community.

“I am proud to represent the Jefferson community as the new Executive Director and I look forward to working with the community to make Jefferson all that it can be.” – Reegan Hanigan
