Greene Co High School Jazz Band Java & Jazz Concert, Feb. 19

On February 19th, the Greene County Jazz Band will hold its inaugural Java and Jazz showcase, and thanks to a grant from BOOST, the concert will feature the Iowa Women’s Jazz Orchestra. Thanks to the generosity of Greene Bean Coffee, the concert will also feature free coffee for the guests.  The students will perform their competition set at 3 pm, then play in collaborative jazz combos with professionals from the IWJO. Finally, the IWJO will perform an hour set at 4:30.  Proceeds will go toward their Disney Trip as well as band equipment.
