Jefferson Matters: Main Street and Main Street Iowa will conduct a training and information session for Jefferson city officials and downtown building owners on Wednesday, Jan. 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Jefferson City Hall.
Jim Thompson, business specialist with Main Street Iowa, will conduct the training session. He will outline for Jefferson Matters: Main Street and city officials the funding programs available for downtown building rehabilitation. Thompson will discuss tax credits, the Downtown Revitalization Fund, and Multi-Family Rental New Construction, Round 5, which covers residential development of the upper stories of the downtown business buildings.
